I added logs on every line,
watched stack traces multiply —
four hours deep in
git blamegrief, the cursor blinked. So did I.
I Googled things I dare not share,
Stack Overflow, my therapist,
re-read the docs a fifth time through —
the answer wasn't there. (It was.)
I wrote a test to catch the beast,
refactored half the module's soul,
then saw it: line 3, function
main—a typo in a
console.log. 🤦The bug was not a clever thing,
no race condition, no cosmic law.
Just one stray semicolon, hiding there —
and I stared at it with grateful awe.
Every developer has had that moment — four hours of
console.logarchaeology, then: oh. It was a semicolon.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
