[UX] Append results from other providers even if they are "the same"

Data differs between providers, especially for languages other than the most popular ones, so omitting results when some of the data matches is frustrating when another provider may have better data.

Doesn't that already happen today, or am I misunderstanding you? For example, if you search for "moby dick", multiple results from different sources for the same book are shown, so you can pick the result with the best data quality yourself.

What I meant was something like this:

I enter a title I’m interested in and get a book from Open Library, but the character encoding is broken, so I want to search for it through Google Books instead. Google Books has that title, but the app skips duplicate entries (it added 9 results even though it found 10).

I have to check the actual logic in backend and debug this. Can you give me the exact search phrases you used for your both examples?

I'm sorry for bothering you again, but I still don't get it. I took your exact searchphrase and it found 1 match on open library, 1 on hardcover and 10 on Google books. The search list contains all of the twelve results. What is it that you are missing from the results? What is it that I'm not seeing?

Nevermind, I got it. Seems like you got different results by the search apis and thus deduplication logic kicked in. I'll try to implement some kind of soft deduplication (visually mark duplicates, but do not hide them).

Hi @DawidGardzinski duplicates will not be hidden anylonger, but shown in groups where you can select your preferred edition. This looks like:

You can then click "Show editions" to select the data provider/edition of your choice:

The feature is implemented in #96 which is merged to develop branch now. Feel free to test and leave feedback if you think it needs more work.
